Characters and Places of Bram Stoker's Dracula
Bram Stoker's Dracula, published in 1897, is told through journals, letters and newspaper clippings. This word search follows its story: Jonathan Harker's journey by coach through the Carpathians to the Count's castle, the howling wolves, the ship Demeter that reaches Whitby in a storm, and the fight led by Professor Van Helsing to save Lucy and Mina.
When every word is marked, the leftover letters spell the words the Count uses to greet his guest at the door. Renfield, the patient in Dr. Seward's asylum who eats flies and spiders, is one of the strangest characters in the book.
How the hidden message works
In this puzzle, every letter that is not part of a word belongs to a secret message of 43 letters. Find all 12 words first. Then read the letters that are left over, starting at the top left and going row by row from left to right, and write them down in order. Online, the message lights up on the grid the moment you find the last word. On the printable PDF there is a blank space for each letter, and the answer key shows the full message.
