Frequently asked questions about rankings
How do I earn XP and level up?
Every puzzle you complete gives XP, and harder puzzles give more: Easy starts at 60, Medium at 100, Hidden Message at 125, and Hard and Shapes at 150. Solving it fast adds up to 50% more, and finishing without hints another 50%. As your total grows you climb through 28 ranks, and each one unlocks its badge to use as your profile picture.
How is the Hall of Fame leaderboard updated?
Rankings recalculate continuously as players finish puzzles, so a solve you complete now appears in the table within moments.
How do I change my player nickname and badge?
Open Edit profile from your player card at the top of this page. You can change your nickname and pick any badge you have unlocked at any time, or leave it on Auto to always show your highest rank.
Is creating an account or password required to compete?
No. A player profile is created for you the first time you solve a puzzle, and your progress stays on the device you play from.
