Dinosaur Names for Kids: T. Rex, Triceratops and Stegosaurus
Ten words from the age of dinosaurs. Tyrannosaurus rex was the giant meat-eater of the late Cretaceous, and Triceratops, with its three horns and bony frill, lived alongside it. Stegosaurus carried plates on its back and spikes on its tail; Diplodocus, about 25 meters from nose to tail, was one of the longest animals that ever lived; Allosaurus hunted in the Jurassic; Spinosaurus had a sail on its back and probably hunted fish; and Iguanodon was one of the first dinosaurs ever named, in 1825.
Jurassic, fossil and raptor complete the list. Spinosaurus, Stegosaurus and Triceratops have 11 letters, as many as the grid is wide, so each one fills a whole row or column.
